“A WALK THROUGH CARBON COUNTY HISTORY”
Take a walk though time and space with Rawlins’ downtown art tour. This educational walking tour, funded by Rawlins DDA/Main Street, Carbon County School District #1 Recreation Board, Carbon County Visitor’s Council and the Wyoming Arts Council, celebrates the history of Carbon County through murals created by local artists in 2005-2007 as well as other art pieces that have been created since. The 12 murals highlight the history and natural beauty of south central Wyoming. From the innovate work of Thomas Edison and James Candlish to the splendor of the native pronghorn and aspen, the mural tour shows the diverse and rich history of the region. Pick up a brochure at the Rawlins DDA/Main Street Office (in the Business Innovation Center at 116 4th St.), Rawlins Chamber of Commerce, or at any of the murals. A good place to start and pick up the brochure is at the Depot Park, at the corner of 4th and Front Streets. It can also be downloaded below.
“DOWNTOWN RAWLINS TRAVELSTORYS”

“UPLIFT INTERPRETIVE TRAIL”
Walk from Rawlins Springs to Wyoming Frontier Prison grounds, with extension on Rawlins Uplift, featuring interpretive panels throughout the community. See attachment for information on trail route and story signage locations.
HISTORIC DOWNTOWN RAWLINS WALKING TOUR
This tour, which was published in 1994, will take you through Rawlins’ nationally designated downtown historic district and other historically significant places of interest in about 60-90 minutes. Since the brochure needs some minor revisions and the original printable file is missing, there has not been a reprinting of the actual brochure. If you would like to take this tour, please download both the Brochure and Map files, and either print them off on your own or view on an electronic device of your choice as you enjoy walking the heart of our community.

2013-2014: Received Funding from a Wyoming Business Council Grant and two Community Development Block Grants
2014-2016: Defined Allocation Amounts, Hired Architect and Construction Manager, Filed Easement with County & Redefined Scope of Work
2016-2019: Bid Scope of Work & Construction
2019-Present: Completed Rawlins Downtown Facade Project & Continued Upkeep Commences!
